Mahjongg for Teens Class Description
Who it’s for
Teenagers and pre-teens interested in learning Mahjongg so they can play with friends and join in family fun.
Class objectives
Learn the object and steps of the game and rules and strategies for success.
Become familiar with the Official National Mah Jongg League (NMJL) card and how to use it.
Learn how to play in-person and online to continue practicing and improving skills after the class.
What to expect
Expect to have a lot of fun! You’ll be learning alongside people in your peer group who share your interest in learning a new game.
The class is 3 hours, including instruction and practice play. Light snacks and soft drinks will be provided.
Peer mentors will be onsite to share their experiences.
NMJL cards will be provided for use during the game, or you can purchase one when you book. You’ll also take home a handout with rules, tips, and curated Mahjongg links and resources.

NMJL playing card

The National Mah Jongg League Card lists the 71 winning tile combinations and is the official card for American mahjongg. Buy one now and you can use it for play during class.
