Private Group Events Description
Who it’s for
Groups of friends or family members seeking to learn more about Mahjongg and have fun learning and playing together.
Great for birthday parties, bachelorette parties, a friends annual reunion, a Spring/Fall break activity or any time a group of people are gathering and want to include a fun and informative activity while together. Even teens and college-aged participants are becoming a rapidly growing group of mahjongg enthusiasts!
Private events are offered in the Apex/RTP area and Bald Head Island, NC.
Class objectives
Learn the object and steps of the game and rules and strategies for success when playing.
Discuss the hands and variations of the NMJL official card and how those variations can affect player decision-making and potential success.
Understand distinctions between playing with people versus online and how each contributes to development.
What to expect
A relaxed and fun event hosted by Barbara or at the home of one of the group members. Events may include food and drink before or after the learning session.
The instruction time is 3 hours, and time permitting, includes limited hands on practice.
You’ll take home a free gift and an in-depth handout with rules and tips to support play after the event.
Participants may also join in The Art of Mahjongg Pop-Up games to continue their learning journey.

$75 per person, 8-12 people
The price includes a 3 hour class, plus a small gift for each participant and an in-depth handout covering rules of the game and tips for success. Refreshments are provided by the organizer of the event and no charge for her if there are 8 or more participants.
